As we head into the holiday season our To Do List seems to get longer and can often take some of the merriment out of the days ahead. ThinkEDU and Autodesk’s goal is to assist the Learning Partner centers bring in the New Year with joyous smiles. Here are a few updates and reminders that can help with checking things off your list.
Fusion Marketing
As part of our business, ThinkEDU markets to millions of college students and educators each month. We heavily market Autodesk Fusion 360 and the availability of the free download to qualified individuals. We get hundreds of download requests each month. As a follow-up to receiving their free download, we would like to promote your Fusion training programs or events that you think this rich base of leads would be interested in (free event or fee-based, clubs, etc.).
Please go to: http://gems.autodesk.com/d/45qvzm/2R and complete this form for each Fusion course/event that you want to promote. Click here to learn more.
2018 EXAMS – IN WITH THE NEW OUT WITH THE OLD
The 2018 version Exams are now available through Certiport. Through the end of the year students have a choice of taking 2015, 2016/17 or 2018 version exams. However the 2015 exams will be retired shortly after the end of December. Test Centers that do not see the 2018 exams in your exam options be sure to contact Certiport for a resolution. Also remember to utilize the 2018 Certiport exam at your CATC, you will need the 2018 software licenses installed.
MARK IT OFF YOUR WISH LIST -3DS MAX PRACTICE TEST
Your requests have been heard and it is here! Now available is a 3DS Max Practice Test through GMetrix. Training centers can purchase practice exams for as low at $40. Provide your student the opportunity to practice their skills with questions targeted specifically to the exam objectives and give them the confidence to obtain their Autodesk Credentials.
FUSION EXAMS-GET EM WHILE THEY ARE HOT!
Any instructor that desires to get their ACU badge for Fusion, we still have a few exam vouchers available. The Fusion ACU badge qualifies you to receive an ACI badge once you complete the IDP ACI requirements as well. Just a note: the exam must be taken by December 31st. If interested send an email to mkirk@thinkedu.com and vouchers will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.
BETTER THAN BLACK FRIDAY SAVINGS- NEW CUSTOMER OPPORTUNITY
The Autodesk Services Marketplace is an integrated website that helps Autodesk Customers find providers for the Autodesk product services they need to be successful. Customers can search for providers specializing in system integrations, training, implementation and more, The site allows the Customer to connect directly with the Provider as well as rate the services provided. This gives another forward facing opportunity for Training Centers or Autodesk Instructors services to be marketed to the public. If you are interested in registering as a Provider visit https://servicesmarketplace.autodesk.com/about-services-marketplace for requirements and Application submission.
EVALUATION SYSTEM -TOY SHOP WORK IN PROGRESS
The FY19 survey has not been uploaded in the Evaluation system therefore unfortunately it will not allow a course to be added with ending dates that fall after January 31st. Please go ahead and enter your course and put the end date as January 31st and create the course record. Take a screen shot of the course and email it to mkirk@thinkedu.com. Once the FY19 evaluation form has been added to the Evaluation system your course will be updated with the correct ending date and evaluation form.
NAUGHTY OR NICE- IDP REGISTRATION
Currently only 60% of instructors have registered for the Instructor Development Portal. All Autodesk instructors need to be registered on the Portal as there are yearly Professional development and Product course requirements that need to be completed by end of January. Don’t get a lump of coal in your Autodesk stocking, if you need to register go to https://aex.peakcdi.com/registration_form.php enter your ATC email address and complete your access by clicking on the VERIFY EMAIL. You will be given the set-up Password screen to establish your password and begin your work.
OPEN DOORS- NOT THE SAME OL’ MILK AND COOKIES
A Texas size thankyou to all the Partners that are participating with the Fall Open Doors. Discount vouchers went on sale November 27th through December 3rd. Both the ACP and ACU exams were offered, as well as retake options to drive more exams and revenue to your centers. Vouchers include a free 60 days Gmetrix practice exam to increase testing success. To ensure end users and the CATC have more scheduling flexibility Open Door Vouchers are redeemable for 60 days from date of purchase.
LET IT SNOW- YEARLY SURVEY
The Autodesk Annual Review survey was emailed to each site manager/principle last week. A perfect opportunity for your training center to provide your experiences, thoughts and suggestions on how the year went for you and for us. Your input helps shape the future to bring new things to life and improve the past. And if that’s not enough, each Organization that responds will be entered in a drawing for one of 3 Amazon Gift Cards valued at $500, $300 and $200. Just be sure to submit the survey by December 15th.
FY18 INVOICES-RINGING IN THE NEW YEAR
To assist each Training Center with their Accounting process and financial planning the Autodesk FY19 invoices will be coming out this week via email. Be sure and view your invoice as soon as it is received so that any questions or adjustments required can be resolved quickly.
Best Regards,
Merry Kirk
