Got Kids? Ages 10-18: Create with Code in Unity

Saturdays: Apr. 11 & Apr. 25, 2020

In this introduction to programming, students will learn basic programming skills using the C# programming language while building their own project similar to the popular game Crossy Road.  While building the game students will build game scenes that help them learn about variables, if – then logic, switch statements, loops, arrays, and methods. All this will be done while interacting and learning with 3D and 2D game objects in the Unity engine.

They will also learn the basics of Level Design in Unity including but not limited to the following: Unity Interface, simple animation, physics, and creating materials, and user interfaces. Everything students do, they will be able to take home with them and use in Unity.

Participants will also have the opportunity to explore VR/AR programs using VR headsets, 3D printing, Minecraft, and flight simulation. A complete STEM experience!

Minimum participation: 5 students. Prerequisite skills: basic computer skills
